D&D Pipe Guide

Here is a general guide to D&D Exhaust's baffles, finishes and tip styles.

BAFFLES

For all HD models:
Louvered baffles are designed for 80" to 103" motors.
Big Boar baffles are designed for 107" to 113" motors.
Wrapped baffles are about 15% quieter than the metal baffles, performance is the same.

For 2009-2010 FLH Touring models Boss Fat Cat baffles
:
Louvered concentric wrapped baffle is for stock motors only. no motor mods.
Perforated baffle is for any motor 96" to 113" stock or modified.
Perforated wrapped baffle is quieter than the perforated, performance is the same. For 96" to 113" motors.
The most popular baffle for 09 -10 models is the perforated wrapped baffle.

Big Boar and perforated or performance baffles are the same, this means more on the Fat Cat not the Boss Fat Cat

Sometimes the louvered baffle is called a standard baffle, this does not include the louvered concentric wrapped baffle which is different.

The Boarzilla systems are for 117" to 131" motors and only come with the perforated or perforated wrapped baffles for sound. Performance is the same and comes with a cut of its own called a Boarzilla cut which is about a 45 degree cut to the outside of the bike similar to a slash cut.

FINISHES

All Harley Davidson applications come in either Show Chrome or Jet Black. Other applications are also available in Carbon Fiber, Polished Stainless Steel or Faux-Ti.

Please keep in mind that the most common Harley systems are Chrome and are therefore kept in higher stocking levels. Black is usually on hand but can see lead times of a week or so.

TIP STYLES

For Harley Davidson applications there are four basic tip styles that can be ordered on some or all slip on mufflers and full exhaust systems.
